This was a painting I saw at the museum that I was immediately impressed with! It is huge and apparently done entirely by candlelight. Gainsborough painted this piece of a ballerina named "Giovanna Baccelli" and this is the title. He idealized the landscape in the background to make the painting look "fancy". Good to know they were doing that kind of thing way back in 1782. It is oil on canvas and it was made in Britian.
